Steven Labana elected to chair FOCHTA Board in Malawi
On 18th February 2012, Mr Steven Labana was elected to be the Chairman of The Board of Trustees. Mr Labana will replace Miss Martha Kabalo who has been serving as a Chairperson for 7 years during which time she has contributed immeasurably to the NGO.
Mr Labana was a co-founder of FOCHTA as well as serving in the FOCHTA Board in the past nine years. He has been working with MSF Belgium for 14 years, first as a Community Based Officer looking after HIV/AIDS infected people in the Thyolo district. Lately, he has been put in charge of the MSF pharmacy. Recently, his wife Faines, a trained nurse, has offered to mentor our girl beneficiaries on a regular and voluntary basis.
