Our alumni are pleased to be able to help others

Ten of FOCHTA’s former beneficiaries have decided, through the goodness of their hearts, to support secondary school students. These fine people are:

Clara Lemani, who completed a masters degree in statistical science. She is married and now works in the capital Lilongwe with a maternal research organisation.

Nenani James completed a diploma in community development and now works as a field officer for an early childhood care and development program for a non-government organisation. Nenani says “I am happy to see FOCHTA growing”

Billy Bokosi has a degree in clinical medicine, and works as a clinical officer in Mulanji.

Billy said “Thank you to FOCHTA for life changing support to me”

Aaron Mwafulirwa graduated with a B Sc (Physiotherapy) He is now an assistant lecturer at the University of Malawi, in the College of Medicine.

Kondwani Biton has a diploma in car mechanics, and now works in the National Registration Bureau as an electoral officer.

Amadu Bwanali graduated with a B Sociology and works with the UK based NGO Campaign for Female Education, for whom he manages two districts. He is married with two children.

Brenda Jeremiah-Kampira has a B Sc (Nursing and Midwifery) and works as a midwife at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre. Brenda is married with a young son.

Charles Sokoso has a diploma in animal health and production. He works as livestock officer with Villages in Partnership, under the NGO Emmanuel International Malawi. He is married with two children.

He is FOCHTA’s alumni coordinator and encourages his fellow alumni to support student bursaries. He and Brenda have been appointed as honorary FOCHTA Board members.

Funani Malata after obtaining a diploma in Clinical Science, now works as a Clinical Officer at the district hospital in Machinga.

Ireen Miteche graduated with a B A (Education -Languages) and is now working as a secondary school teacher.
