News on FOCHTA beneficiary Alambeje

For those who do not know Alambege, she is a physically challenged young woman of 21. She uses a wheelchair for mobility, and was supported by FOCHTA between 2006 and 2010. Unfortunately she failed to pass the MSCE due to illness.

In 2013 FOCHTA advocated a secondary school place for Alambeje, and corresponded with the Ministry of Education and authorities at St Anthony Secondary School where a place was found for her.

In addition to her bursary, Alambeje receives a skirt, blouse and shoes and a sweater, a suitcase, mathematical instruments, and groceries.

It was necessary to ensure that a class-mate would be on hand to help Alambeje with her wheelchair, and so another FOCHTA student beneficiary has been transferred from the day to the boarding section of the school.
