News of FOCHTA student Annie
Annie, 16, has four sisters and two brothers. Her parents left home some years ago to look for jobs but they never returned. Now all except her eldest sister has moved out. Annie has since been supported by this sister whose income is from selling small, smoked fish. Annie starts Form Two this month. She has done very well in Form One, obtaining a position of 7 out of 51 in the class. She is doing well in her studies, especially in science subjects. In her spare time, she likes to sing, compose drama and poetry. FOCHTA is very much encouraged by her striving to do well at school, her positive approach to life and for her resilience.
